I have lived in Delaware for over 40 years and I have worked in corporate America for about 30 years.  I have two kids - a son and a daughter and two granddaughters.  I think the world of my kids, but my grandkids are the icing on the cake.  If you are a grandparent, you know what I mean.

During the time I was working, I was finding homes for family and friends as a hobby.  I looked for those good deals.  The “hobby” aspect changed when I was downsized.  The light bulb went on while I was in a closing on an investment property that instead of giving the commission to another agent, I could get licensed and pay myself. 

I love this business and it gives me joy to see the look on someone’s face when they find a home.  You can tell from their voice, their whole expression changes and you know they have arrived home.

For sellers I want to market your house as actively as I can, in as many places as I can.  I utilize many different advertising sources in addition to those offered by Long and Foster. 

For everyone I want to be the person you put your trust in to meet your needs.  In addition, I promise to be accessible and if I can’t answer the phone right away, it won’t be long before I will call you back.  Also, I’m usually alwayson email or checking it.   This is an important time for you and I want you to feel that you can count on me to be there for you.

From you, I expect you to treat me like you would want to be treated.  If you can't make an appointment, call me and let me know.  If you are working with another realtor or have one in mind to work with, please don't waste my time.  If your plans change and you need to put your plans to move on hold, let me know. 

I am self-employed, which means I get paid when I sell a home. I don't get a weekly paycheck so all my expenses are out-of-pocket and there are many - gas, continuing education, tools for the business, e.g., lock box keys, MLS, membership fees, etc.  If I take the time to send you homes through email or I take you touring homes, I hope that you will work with me until you find a home.  If you see a home you just have to have and it's with another realtor or it's a For Sale By Owner, I hope you will call me first.  I've been lucky (or blessed as I call it), because this hasn't happened a lot and I believe it's because of the level of commitment I give my clients.
